We are so confident in the quality of all of our hardy plants that we offer a 10-year guarantee.
Please keep your till receipt as proof of purchase and we will be happy to replace any hardy plant that fails in the next ten years.
All you have to do is bring in the plant and the original till receipt, and we will do the rest.
Our guarantee, which is in addition to your statutory rights, defines “hardy plants” as including roses, herbaceous perennials, alpines, fruit, conifers, heathers, rhododendrons, azaleas, trees and shrubs that are able to withstand the average Northumbrian winter weather conditions.
Sadly we cannot include plants that are not hardy to the North of England in our guarantee, as these rely on the skill of the gardener to see them through the winter, or require a heated greenhouse to ensure a frost-free environment.
If you are unsure whether a plant is guaranteed to survive in your garden over winter and be included in our 10-year guarantee then please pop in and have a chat or drop us an email.
There are conditions which may invalidate this guarantee, but they are few and far between, please see below for examples;
- Physical damage to a plant that is beyond our control e.g. bark of trees and shrubs being eaten away by rabbits or damage by strimmers or lawn mowers.
- If a plant has failed due to neglect e.g. insufficient water during dry weather.
- We will guarantee a plant for its natural lifespan however we cannot guarantee short-lived perennials where their life expectancy is less than 10 years e.g. certain herbaceous plants such as Gaura or Digitalis or shrubs such as Lavateria or Broom.
