This top quality dark red from Barry Davies produces full sized blooms with a very neat formation with the petals dressing back fully onto the strong stems. It will be interesting to see how well this variety competes on the bench when grown 8 stems up per plant. Removing up to the first 3 pairs of blooms below the main terminal flower bud on each stem will produce the best sized blooms for showing but for general garden use only the first 1-2 pairs need removing as this will produce a better crop of flower though slighltly smaller than they could be. Plants grow strongly up to 1.2m.
