New for 2020
A reliable magenta pink flowered Medium Semi Cactus raised by Derek Cave which I first saw at the NDS trials at Golden Acre Park, Leeds where it was awarded a Silver Medal. We find this to be a very weather tolerant variety with the blooms being held on strong upright stems on plants that grow to about 1.5 m. For best quality blooms we would suggest growing 6-7 blooms per plant and removing the side buds by 3-4 pairs from the terminal bud. For general garden display the plant will take more blooms but they will inevitably be smaller and in this case only 1-2 pairs of buds need removing. Regular disbudding will ensure a continuous display of flowers up until the frosts. Unusually this variety, when used as a cut flower, develops an unusual neon effect at the petal tips.
