New for 2020
Very free flowering purple which was much admired last year. A good variety for the garden or the show bench where it is easier to keep down to size than others in this class. The quality of blooms improves as the season progresses so aim to get a strong growing good sized plant with plenty of breaks (at least 14 up) before the main show season. Early blooms can be a bit thin in hot summers but become much more consistent as the season progresses. This only requires a very light disbud with only the first pair of buds below the terminal flower needing to be removed if growing for showing. When growing for the garden the side buds can all be left though regular deadheading will help to prolong the show of flowers. Grows to 1.3m approx.
Raised by the late Peter Greenway this is one of he last of his varieties that we have had on trial. As with all the previous introductions from Peter the Royalty payments will go to the Cornish Air Ambulance.
